Mark Israel serves as a Senior Executive Search Consultant at Encore Leadership advisors, where he leads retained executive searches for vice presidents, senior executives, and C-suite leaders. He brings more than 25 years of recruiting and talent acquisition experience, combining corporate leadership experience with a hands-on approach to identifying, engaging, and recruiting executives.

Mark’s executive search experience includes assignments for Samsung Electronics America, GameStop, and venture-backed companies. His work spans business-unit leadership and executive roles across technology, sales, marketing, product, operations, human resources, and finance. At Samsung, his sourcing efforts contributed to eight executive hires in 12 months, including leaders at the VP, SVP, and EVP levels. As GameStop’s first dedicated executive recruiter, he helped reduce average time to fill for VP-and-above positions by 50%.

Known for his tenacity, practical judgment, and confidence-inspiring manner, Mark builds trust and credibility with candidates and clients through thoughtful conversations, clear communication, and consistent follow-through. He brings rigor and care to the search process, helping clients make informed hiring decisions while guiding executives through consequential career moves.

Earlier in his career, Mark held talent acquisition leadership roles at Barnes & Noble.com, Experian, and Bloomberg. He holds a master’s degree in human resource management from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Binghamton University. Originally from the New York City area, he resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his family.
